Abstract: Teaching Graduate Assistants are utilized in the School of Kinesiology to teach First Aid/CPR/AED (Emergency Care). The process is presented to develop and mentor quality instructors to deliver content in this area. The course leads to certification, so the required content, including knowledge and skill development must be presented to attain credentialing. CANVAS content, unique resources, and creative skill sessions have been developed to ensure quality instruction by GAs and learning by students.

Dr. Steve Simpson
Steve Simpson is a Regents Professor in the School of Kinesiology. He is completing 39 seasons at Tarleton and has served as Director of the Athletic Training program and Head Athletic Trainer.
