Abstract: Have you always wanted to incorporate peer reviews into your online classes but not sure how to start? Or maybe you’ve tried them before but they didn’t go as planned. Join us for an interactive workshop about implementing peer reviews! We will delve into the purpose, value, and relevance of peer reviews. As part of our active discussion, we will provide curated resources, links, rubrics, and more! Guidelines to follow and pitfalls to avoid will be reviewed. Evidence-based best practices, supported by literature, will be shared. Also, to gain perspective you will have a chance to actively engage in a peer review. Learning Outcomes: At the end of this active workshop participants should be able to: Explain the purpose, value, and relevance of student peer reviews, Identify and choose resources to use in the implementation of peer reviews, Practice and demonstrate a peer review example, Model evidence-based best practices for implementing peer reviews in your courses

Dr. Bryn Brown

Dr. Bryn Brown is an Assistant Professor in the department of Management, and she also serves as an ACUE facilitator for the Effective Online Teaching Practices full course and various TSU and TAMU microcredential courses. She earned an advanced credential from ACUE by completing both the Effective Teaching Practices and Effective Online Teaching Practices full course

Dr. Cindy Blackwell

Dr. Cindy Blackwell is an Academic Director at ACUE and prior to joining the ACUE Academic team in July 2020, she served as the associate director for the Center for Faculty Development at USM where she was also an associate teaching professor and the academic integrity officer for Southern Miss. She was also a tenured associate professor at Oklahoma State University.
